We are incredibly honoured and grateful to have been presented with the prestigious King’s Award for Voluntary Service trophy and certificate by Colonel Sir Edward Bolitho at our recent AGM. Held at Tregenna Castle, it was a truly special evening – one that recognised the dedication, compassion, and commitment of every single member of our team.

Each team member also received their own King’s Award badge. We were also delighted to share the occasion with some of our key fundraisers for 2025 (more on that to follow). It’s a night we won’t forget for many years to come.

And now, the more difficult part.

After years of unwavering service since 2016, our Team Leader Chris (pictured) has made the decision to step down as he begins a new chapter outside of Cornwall. His contribution to the team has been extraordinary. Not only as team leader, but also serving as our Training Officer, a 4×4 driver, controller, and mentor – sharing his knowledge from his military and work experiences.

Chris has helped shape the team we are today.

You will be deeply missed, Chris – both as a leader and as a friend. We wish you nothing but the very best in your next adventure.

Saffa will step into the role of Interim Team Leader while our call-out members come together to elect a successor.

Thank you, Chris.
