The team are often asked to assist in the final day of training for new Police LPSMs (Lost Person Search Managers), providing manpower for a large-scale exercise on Dartmoor.

Today four team members joined over 100 other volunteers from across the region, working alongside Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team – Ashburton, North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team, Devon and Cornwall 4×4, Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue USAR, National Police Air Service and the Police Drone Team. The exercise sent teams out onto the moor to search for missing people, giving the trainee LPSMs a feel for how the different resources work together. In typical Dartmoor conditions, this was a great example of multi-agency cooperation and we look forward to working with the new LPSMs in the future.
