In the early years of the team, we were called to search for one of our own. Del, a paramedic and former team member – the partner of Nel.

Tragically, he had taken his own life due to work-related stress, with Cornwall Search and Rescue Team described as being central in the search for Del.

Nel saw hope in despair and set about doing something to commerate his life, organising the annual ‘Ride Out for Del’ (who was a keen biker). She continues this event annually and presented us with £476, raised from the most recent rides at our recent AGM.

Thank you Nel for the continued support, and everything you do to help charitable organisations in Cornwall.
