We are recruiting Call-out Members
For the first time since establishing in 2019, we are actively recruiting a small number of volunteer call-out team members.
Call-out members are a diverse group of people of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds – from members of the emergency services, armed forces and NHS staff to engineers, teachers and electricians. What we all have in common is a love of the outdoors and a willingness to get involved when the community calls.
We don’t expect trainees to be instant experts and fully-skilled in all areas (navigation/first-aid/comms/ropes etc), however we do require potential members to have basic competence with an aptitude to learn and develop other skills.
As a trainee, you’ll be expected to be outside for prolonged periods in all weather conditions, on challenging terrain and often in darkness. However, the training is also good fun!
If this sounds like it could be you, we would love to hear from you. Read more information on our website and then contact us to receive an application form – https://westcornwallsar.co.uk/join-the-team/
Please SHARE with anyone who you think would be suitable.
November 2nd (evening) – An introduction to the team
November 5th (all day) – Selection day
You can’t attend either event without applying first and you must be available on the above dates to be eligible for this intake. Places are limited and our Operations Team will be inviting people based on the applications received.
If you want to talk about the application, please feel free to contact [email protected].
