Last week, we were pleased to host colleagues from the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust for a familiarisation training session at our base.

As well as members of the ambulance crew, we were joined by volunteer Community First Responders, who provided valuable insights into their roles and the equipment they carry.

The session focused on improving joint response during call-outs, and included a practical demonstration of our casualty packaging techniques using a simulated medical scenario.

Collaborative training like this strengthens our ability to work effectively together when it matters most—enhancing patient care and community safety.
