MEDICAL – Tehidy (25/05/25)
We were requested by South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust to assist with the extrication of a member of the public with a lower leg injury from Tehidy Woods.
Four team members were already out on a vehicles training course near St Agnes, so they were deployed straight away to the scene alongside the course instructor from Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team – Tavistock. Once on location, they met the team from Cornwall Air Ambulance who had already landed on the neighbouring golf course while an Ambulance crew were assessing the patient.
Our team members assisted the paramedics with packaging and conveying the patient onto the helicopter and managing the site for the take off.
Some great collaborative working. We wish the patient a speedy recovery.
