SEARCH AND RESCUE – Kynance Cove (18/01/25)
We were tasked by Devon & Cornwall Police at 20.00 last night following reports of two walkers who had become lost and disorientated locating their way back to their car.
Team members headed to the National Trust car park once receiving the call, and liaised with the Police. A hasty search took place by the first team members on scene, using higher ground to observe the surrounding area.
Thankfully, the missing people were swiftly located by our team and escorted on foot back to their vehicle. Despite a bit cold, they were otherwise safe and well. We were stood down at 20.45 following a successful find.
Tip: When heading out, make sure you carry a spare torch as well as paper maps + a compass (and know how to use them), in case your phone battery goes. #BeAdventureSmart
