Search Dog Merryn, and her handler, Matt, were requested by our colleagues at East Cornwall Search & Rescue Team and Devon & Cornwall Police to assist with an ongoing search for a high-risk missing person. Several foot teams were on the ground searching when the search dog team arrived.

Assisted by a navigator from East Cornwall SRT, they covered dense woodland and steep farmland – terrain where an air scenting search dog could be advantageous.

Thankfully, the missing person was located safe and well outside of the allocated search areas. Well done to all involved in the search.
