We were tasked by Devon & Cornwall Police on Friday 21st March at 21.20 to assist in the search for a high-risk missing person in the Godrevy area, near Hayle.

Our volunteer team members searched probable areas throughout the night alongside colleagues from the Police and Coastguard.

The team was requested to continue the search the following day. East Cornwall Search & Rescue Team assisted, alongside a search dog team from Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England.

During the search we received information a body had been located near to the area.

We would like to give our deepest sympathy to the family and friends and everyone involved in the search.

All of our team members are volunteers. We’re available 24/7, 365 days of the year to assist the emergency services to search for missing, vulnerable and injured people across West Cornwall.

We rely on public donations to operate.
