We were tasked by Devon & Cornwall Police on Saturday 22nd March at 22.30 to assist in the search for a high-risk missing person in the Helston area.

Search teams once again searched throughout the night alongside Police colleagues. With nothing found, we were re-tasked the following morning at 11.30. Team members searched further rural areas alongside another Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England team.

Six-hours later we were stood down pending further Police inquiries.

Over the weekend 40 of our volunteer team members attended the various call-out requests with over 200 combined hours searching.

All of our team members are volunteers. We’re available 24/7, 365 days of the year to assist the emergency services to search for missing, vulnerable and injured people across West Cornwall.

We rely on public donations to operate.
