We were tasked by Devon & Cornwall Police at 23.30 to assist East Cornwall Search & Rescue Team with the search for a high-risk missing person.

As team members were en-route to the location, they were stood down as the missing person had thankfully been located.

An East Cornwall SRT spokesperson reported, ‘Due to the wide area and difficult searching conditions support was requested from coastguard rescue helicopter “Rescue 924”, however they were unable to reach the search area due to the poor weather and low visibility.

‘Twelve of our team members commenced searches on difficult and steep ground in dark, cold and wet conditions until around midnight when we received the good news that they had been located safe and well through police enquiries outside of the search area.’
