I first joined North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team, as I lived in Okehampton on the edge of Dartmoor and wanted to support my local community. I enjoyed being outdoors walking on the moors and any excuse to get out on them is a good one! After moving to Cornwall, I was excited to transfer to a new team and use the skills I had developed on Dartmoor.
